This was previously the home of Joseph Goebbels, Hitler’s propaganda minister. It has been replaced with this memorial to the murdered Jews of Europe.

Das Reichstag. This building has been blown up and rebuilt numerous times throughout history and served as the capitol of numerous governments and even countries from the Holy Roman Empire to the Weimar Republic to modern Germany.

This victory column was built to celebrate the triumph of Prussia after having conquered many of their neighbors and forming a larger, unified territory. My great grandma grew up here around that time.
