EDC: Filterless Cold Brew Iced Coffee Bottle

I drink a lot of cold brew iced coffee; often more than four cups a day.

As a frugal minimalist and a former Starbucks Coffee Master, I feel compelled to make it myself. There are lots of ways to do this, and I searched long and hard before deciding on a brewing method to incorporate into my daily routine.

I chose this, the Primula Cold Brew and Travel bottle. Both the top and bottom of the container come off. The top is for drinking, and the bottom contains what they call a superfine stainless steel filter. This is much like similar containers meant for tea, but with a much finer filter intended for coffee.

Simply put the container in the fridge with coffee and water and leave it overnight. In the morning, you’ve got fresh cold brew iced coffee. I can’t wait to try this and start saving money!

Product Review: Anker PowerCore+ 26800

I recently bought an Anker PowerCore+ 26800 to add to my EDC.Anker PowerCore+ 26800, Premium Portable Charger, High Capacity 26800mAh External Battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 (in- and output), Includes PowerPort+ 1 Wall Charger

It has several big Pros and one big Con.

Pros

  • 26,800mah of capacity means it will charge my phone almost seven times on a single charge. This will be perfect for Burning Man!
  • Quick Charge 3.0 means it will charge very quickly and it will charge devices very quickly. This is also exciting because this standard will be supported by the new chromebooks which are coming out later this year.

CON

  • It uses Micro-USB input which is STUPID AND RIDICULOUS. I guess I am not rid of that standard after all.

Conclusion

  • I didn’t return it. But I am not happy about the stupid, obsolete input type.
